Dr. Akangsha Aesthetics is a journey that started 20 years back when for the first time she saw the fascinating work that can be done in the field of plastic surgery, which can transform the lives of the patients.
Dr. Akangsha Sharma is a plastic surgeon with a passion for aesthetic surgery. She is having 13 years of surgical experience and is thoroughly trained in the field of aesthetic surgery. Being trained in the field by masters, her training teaches her to be compassionate and to practice in the highest professional manner. She is an active member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) which enables her to practice technically and professionally with international standards.
Being a female plastic surgeon her vision for female aesthetic is very unique. Her special area of interest is mommy makeover to bring change in the life of females facing issues with the body image post-childbirth. She practices with the utmost care to deal with body image issues helping females to evolve into a healthier and happier mother.
Crafting each cosmetic procedure to the patient's need and “not just one surgery fits all” is all about aesthetic plastic surgery. It is often said that great aesthetic surgical work comes from hands experienced in extensive surgical dissection which is involved in hardcore reconstructive work. She has gained her microsurgical training exposure from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi in Head, Neck and Breast reconstruction.
During her M.Ch. training from one of the prestigious medical colleges and Asia’s Largest Burn Centre i.e. Safdarjung Hospital, she has been extensively trained in burn management, hand injury (brachial plexus injury) and lower limb trauma surgery. Previously, she was working at BLK Centre for cosmetic and plastic surgery at BLK Superspeciality Hospital, New Delhi, which is known for its excellence as a cosmetic surgical centre dealing with international patients seeking cosmetic surgery. Being a part of the dedicated maxillofacial unit at BLK, she has gained a wide surgical exposure of dealing with complicated cases of maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and craniofacial surgery.
